SIC (US 1987) : The California State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) has accepted the Final Budget Approval and a contract has been awarded. Actual construction is scheduled to begin December 2, 2019.
The project will include relocating existing water distribution main lines from the current location on private property into the public right-of-way. The project is being fully funded by the SWRCB through a $4 million dollar grant. The project will improve system operation and maintenance, create redundancy and pressure, and water conservation by implementing a consumption based billing system.
The contractor will work very hard to keep customer inconvenience to a minimum, however, please keep in mind that new water distribution lines will be installed in the street and this will impact residents ability to park near mobile units. Open trenches will be plated and every effort will be made to allow for residential access to the neighborhood.
Residents can do their part and reduce interference with the contractor by following directions on any signage. Please park in designated areas during the day to keep the project flowing smoothly.
